Will there be only one left standing? I doubt that one would go away entirely, back years ago there was the 'Microsoft vs Apple' battle and look how that turned out. Both are still around, though in different variations from the mid 80's. Same with this, both will be around - as the technology changes, so will these companies.
There will probably even be one that surpasses these two, so we should enjoy all that both offers.
