Hard to believe the early version of what we now use for our apps and most of our everyday life is 40 years old! Even when I started in the telecom business installing mobile phones in cars back in 92, they were still big devices! But towards the mid 90's you could start to see the phones morph into something smaller, then at the turn of the century texting took off, along with the faster data, and soon we have a quad-core computer in our pockets!
What will the mobile phone look like 40 years from now? Will it be implanted in our brains, or will it be something like Google Glasses?
Should be interesting while watching these devices continue to change.
